Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Devins Playground (the "Platform"), operated by Devins Playground ("we", "us"), and your participation in hackathons, meetups, workshops, and courses offered through it. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Platform. Some events require participants to be 18 or older, or to meet other eligibility rules stated on the event page.

Your account

Keep your login credentials secure and your information accurate. You are responsible for activity under your account. One person, one account.

Code of conduct

We want every event to be welcoming and beginner-friendly. You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or discriminate against anyone
• Submit work that is not yours or your team's, or that infringes someone else's rights
• Cheat, manipulate votes or rankings, or abuse partner credits
• Upload malware, attempt to access other accounts, or disrupt the Platform
• Use the Platform for anything unlawful

We may remove content, disqualify teams, or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Events, screening, and judging

Participation in an event may require screening. We may approve or decline applications at our discretion. Judging criteria are published for each event; judges' and organizers' decisions on scores, rankings, and prizes are final. Rankings, team names, and project names may be displayed publicly.

Your projects

You and your team own what you build. By submitting a project, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display its name, description, screenshots, demo videos, and results on the Platform and in event promotion. You are responsible for making sure you have the rights to everything in your submission, including third-party code, data, and assets.

Partner credits and prizes

Credits, perks, and prizes are provided by sponsors and partners and are subject to their own terms. They have no cash value, are non-transferable unless the partner says otherwise, and may expire. We are not responsible for a partner's products or services.

Learning content

Course material is provided for your personal learning. Do not republish it without permission.

Termination

You may stop using the Platform and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms.

Disclaimers

The Platform and events are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Devins Playground is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Platform or participation in events.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida.

Changes

We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
